Holy Smokes...Time Flies!

Wow, I remember counting down the days until August 20. Sometimes it seemed like that day would never come, but now it has come and gone and time just keeps flying by. There have been many changes in a short amount of time.  Here is the breakdown...

WE GOT MARRIED!!!

We partied with all our wonderful family and friends (we are so glad and thankful for all those who came to celebrate with us and those who sent their well-wishes. It really made the day a lot more special!)

WE WENT ON A HONEYMOON!
Our honeymoon was actually MORE stressful than our wedding, but just as good!  Exhibit A.....we forgot out cameras, so we only have some pictures on our phones (so no picture to post). The honeymoon was amazing and relaxing and I will never forget the wonderful alone time tyler and I had.  I don't think we'll ever get something like that again!   Although we had some minor stresses such as .....forgetting to pack my hiking/running shoes to hike (we picked lake tahoe for our honeymoon because we wanted to do some hiking...oops) or almost missing our flight! (we were 1hour and 20ish min away from the airport, and decided to not check what time our flight departed, until the day of at 8:15am! Well, we found out it left at 10am, so we frantically packed and rushed to the airport. We made it to the gate right as they were boarding!)
Overall, i am so glad we took a honeymoon and i am so in love with my husband :)

I TURNED 21!
Again, no picture because we flew back from our honeymoon on my birthday and still didn't have a camera. But Tyler took me to the zoo!!! then we went to texas roadhouse...yuuum!! and had some delicious ice cream cake from coldstone and rested the rest of the night!

WE STARTED SCHOOL!
I am going into my fourth year at BYU (studying therapeutic recreation), since it took me forever to decide on what I wanted to do, I still have 3 semesters left (including this one, so i guess 2 now)!
Tyler is going into his third year at BYU and just started the business school.  I love that we both have classes in the Tanner Building (if you ever want to find us, we'll probably be at there).  School is stressful already but it is so much better being married and coming home to our apartment and having it be just the two of us! For example, this is what I came home to last night....

Change is often hard but these changes have been the best!  I am so in love with the opportunity to be at BYU, to be able to take classes, have an apartment with just Tyler, grow older, and best of all, I am able to experience all these changes with tyler.
With all these changes I know that tyler and I will always be constant and that he will always be next to me, no matter what. Knowing that makes life less scary and way more fun and secure.  I love life and wouldn't have it any other way!

Almost There...

This is what I feel like today.....  (click on words to watch video)
That video is really better than words to describe how I feel, haha

Only 4 1/2 days until the wedding....and I almost wouldn't mind if time slowed down a little. There is so much to do and I'm really starting to lose my sanity!  That's all for now....probably until after the wedding!!

But I really hope you enjoyed the video!

One Week....

Steve & Heidi got married yesterday!!!  Steve and Tyler have been best friends for 3 years and so I have been able to get to know Steve for a year and watch Steve and Heidi's relationship progress to yesterday...their wedding!  I don't think I ever stopped smiling yesterday, I was so happy for the two of them and they were definitely on cloud nine!  It got me even more ready and excited for next week......

In One Week...I will be getting married! I can't believe it, I cannot find any word that can truly express the way I feel, because I am feeling so many emotions!!  Watching Steve and Heidi made me want to get married so much more, all the stress and lack of summer because of the preparations are worth it (and it hasn't even happened it!)  After watching the lovebirds yesterday, I am so ready for Saturday, August 20 to come!

And so, all day today and the rest of week I will disappear again and do wedding planning madness.  I can't wait to see all those who are coming to our wedding and to celebrate with Tyler and I.

New but Good Changes

This is where Tyler and I will be spending most of our time for the rest of our time here at BYU!

Yup!!! TYLER GOT INTO THE MARRIOTT BUSINESS SCHOOL!

Tyler has been working his butt off this past year to apply to the business school and we are soooo excited! Most of my classes are in the Tanner Building (therapeutic rec), so hopefully we will be able to see each other more often and it's close to where we will be living...overall, it's wonderful!

Tonight, is also the last night I will be sleeping in single student housing, HOORAY!! Single student housing has been quite the experience and I have definitely learned a lot, but I am sooo ready to live with my best friend and have it be just the two of us! Life is stressful....but o so good!

New Blog

Lately, I've been thinking about starting a blog, just thought it would be fun to write up the silly things that happen to us, actually use the pictures we take, and be able to look back and remember all the wonderful things we have in our life!  Well, I finally did it and we'll see how long this lasts!   Today, Tyler and I were having a rough day with the wedding stress really building (among other things)...so as I was feeling down and looking for a distraction, I hopped on facebook and saw one of my friends had updated her blog, excited I was going to have a good distraction, I read it.  Boy, did it make all the difference in my day.  She didn't say anything magnificant or life changing, she just wrote with gratitude and talked about how in love (but not the mushy stuff) she was with her husband and life.  So I finally decided to do our blog and document all the blessings we have in our life and to not let myself get so down!  However, I'm realizing it's not so easy to write a blog and am afraid it will be boring (although I doubt people will read it), but here goes!
p.s.  i figure every starting blog, has to have its awkward first post....the good blogs will soon be coming!
