Happy Earth Day!

This past week has been a great start to this summer and lots of things have happened! On Wednesday, Tyler finished his last final, so we went to Malawi's Pizza to celebrate, which was delicious and every day all I want to do is go back there. A cool thing about Malawi's Pizza is that every meal purchased there, a meal is donated to the country Malawi.
We also went to the dollar theater to see Mission Impossible 4, which I actually thought was pretty good! On Thursday, my dad got his Ph.D., so now I get to come him Dr. Daddy!! Congrats Daddy, we love you!!! We also got to coach our soccer kids on Thursday and Saturday. We have such an awesome team, they all show up on time and are such fun to be around. Here is a picture of one of our players while waiting on the sideline.
On Friday, we went to go to the Disney Nature Chimpanzee Movie! I love the disney nature movies and this was a great one!! Also, today is Earth Day and my sister and brother-in-law are coming over for dinner. So for the first time, I made fruit pizza. I'm excited to see what it tastes like. And all day today, discovery channel is playing Frozen Planet all day! O how I love nature and nature shows!!
I hope you all have a fabulous earth day!

Done & Certified!

HOORAY!

I took my last final tonight and am officially finished with my last Winter Semester ever at BYU! On top of that, I earned my Advanced First Aid and Basic Life Support Certification!!

For my internship next Winter, we have to be CPR Certified and I was so nervous to learn first aid and CPR all in one 2- or 3-hour night class so I decided to take a semester-long class! It was so worth it, I know what to do (and hopefully will remember) what to do all the way from heart attacks, broken bones, bites, natural disasters, to delivering a baby and I actually feel confident in my skills-especially when it comes to delivering a baby!

Since I am all done, I decided to congratulate myself by buying some delicious cheesecake. Tyler and I can't celebrate together yet because he still has two finals left and is still pretty stressed, so i just enjoyed my cheesecake while enjoying the beautiful Utah scenery:

Now I have ONE WHOLE WEEK of freedom until my spring physiology class starts. So no more instumental music for the next week, I can actually enjoy songs that have lyrics, watch movies, and surf the internet!

This will be a wonderful week, my pandora station has already proved it by playing my first song of the week with lyrics, which happened to be "The Dog Days are Over" by Florence & the Machine!

Have a great week and more pics to come from our soccer team!

I'll try this again!

I'm pretty sure no one reads this, but for the sake of memories for Ty and I, I want to try and keep this updated this summer, because for us, we have quite the adventure ahead of us!

First off, what a semester, lots of things happened that neither of us expected-both have new jobs, more weight, more accomplishments, and more love and we are so excited for what the summer will hold.
This picture summarizes the hard work we have done this semester:

At the Marriott School Closing social, I was a recipient of the Bateman Award but without a doubt it belongs to both of us and helps motivate us to keep on goin'!

We only have finals week left from Winter Semester and I should be done Monday and hopefully Tyler will be done Wednesday-then the weekend break and spring classes start, haha! Spring semester will be bittersweet because Tyler leaves for Michigan on May 10 and I'll be left carless and alone until June 23, then I get to go join him in Michigan.

I have stated a list of reasons why I'm excited for Michigan:
*Get to be w/ Tyler in a totally new place
*Get to be only 1 hr 1/2 from chicago-so hopefully that means shopping, broadway plays, cub game(s), blue man group, food, etc.
*Get to go to a beach and be in the midwest at the same time
*Only 3 hrs away from my best friend AMANDA (who gets back in 32 days-trying not to count)
*I'm sure there will be lots more!

My goal is to take lots of pictures and document this summer through pictures. For now, I probably won't blog until Finals are done and hopefully I'll have pictures of our super cute soccer team!
